LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose is a man-made cellulosic fibre (MMCF), derived from wood pulp. It has a silk-like feel, fluid drape and comfortable breathability.
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres are recognised by CanopyStyle and EU Ecolabel certification as meeting high standards for environmental practice. This includes a low risk of sourcing raw materials from ancient or endangered forests, and the recycling of water and chemicals in the processing stages. In addition to closed loop practices, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ aim to minimise the risk of pollution, through the cleaning of water before it is returned to nature, and engagement with ZDHC guidelines for safe chemical use. According to Higg`s life cycle impact assessment data, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres generate up to 50% lower emissions and water impact compared to generic viscose.
Nylon is a synthetic, man-made fibre, which is both durable and easy to care for. Unlike its virgin counterpart, this recycled nylon is made from pre-consumer and post-consumer plastic waste which is deconstructed and then remanufactured into a textile fibre. Recycled nylon also has a lower carbon footprint compared to virgin nylon.
