Leather is a natural animal material. Leather products offer durability and longevity, as they are not only made to last but soften and gain character with age. We have used remnant leathers to create this style. By liaising closely with our makers, we are able to use up discarded leathers from either ELK or other brands' production, thereby minimising waste.
Polyester is a synthetic, man-made fibre, which is both durable and easy to care for. Unlike its virgin counterpart, this recycled polyester is made from pre-consumer and post-consumer plastic waste which is deconstructed and then remanufactured into a textile fibre.
Recycled polyester also has a lower carbon footprint compared to virgin polyester.
- To maintain the beauty of your ELK bag we recommend protective sprays and using a good quality leather conditioner to treat the product, which will increase its longevity. Do not put leather pieces on the ground or rub against abrasive surfaces. Leather is a natural material and will wear with age and use. The dye in the leather can sometimes rub off so please be aware of this when wearing light clothing or placing the leather item on light surfaces.
