Furniture Care

1. TIMBER FURNITURE

Unpainted Timber

To prolong the surface of the timber please do not leave spills to sit on surfaces. Avoid contact with heat, liquid, and take care when placing abrasive objects on the timber. Direct and reflective sunlight will affect all timber as it lightens and ages beautifully in its own special way.

We recommend Feast Watson Hard Wax once a year to maintain the lustre of waxed furniture.

Painted Timber

Dust regularly and keep out of direct and reflective sunlight.

Angove Street Collective imports many timber products from overseas. We do our best to ensure our products are either recycled, aged timber or kiln dried to minimise timber movement. However, as a natural product, timber will move. Some opening of the grain is considered a natural part of the product and not a fault.

Do not drag furniture.

All timber products are for indoor use unless specifically stated otherwise.

2. TILED DINING TABLES

As with even the most durable items in your home, your tiled dining table does need a little TLC.

Frame: Wipe down occasionally to remove dust and any light surface rust. The powder-coated finish is highly durable, however it can still be chipped if mis-treated. Minor chips can be repaired with CRL Touch up paint or similar of the correct colour (applied locally in light dry coats by a professional)

Tiles: Wipe down with a soft damp cloth.

Grout joints: Effective stain removal has been conducted up to 4 hours after spillage. However, remove spills as soon as possible and clean with a Ph neutral detergent.

Silicon: Clean with a soft damp cloth.

Construction

Frame: Mild steel with a powder-coated finish. Suitable for outdoors.

Tiles: Glazed. Suitable for outdoors.

Grout: Cementitious grout. Suitable for outdoors.

Grout sealer: Water-based penetrating sealer for maximum stain protection. Suitable for outdoors.

Silicon: Waterproof and mould resistant.

Transportation of tiled Tables

The top of the table can be removed from the base by simply lifting it off. The top can be tipped on its side for short periods (e.g to transport through a doorway), but otherwise should be transported horizontally.

When placing the top back on the base, ensure the 4 tabs on the underside slot into the corresponding holes in the base. There are no fixings. The weight of the top holds it in place.

Do not twist or distort the table top as this may crack grout or tiles.

3. UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE

Do not drag to move. This may damage legs or feet.

Loose cushions require regular fluffing. Give your seat and back a regular beating to keep the cushion loft at it's best.
